Organizational Development Program

Capacity Building:
NOPA offers capacity-building and organizational development services to advance its collaborative work with emerging Portuguese-American communities by focusing on increasing the community-organizing and advocacy capacity of young community based organizations, and providing tools and support to solidify the organizational infrastructure necessary to carry out such work. This program identifies, outreaches, and recruits groups for working to develop and implement plans to strengthen their internal systems in order to achieve effectiveness and sustainability.

Seminars & Workshops:
NOPA offers technical assistance in organizational and program development, service delivery systems, and policy/advocacy to members of its Affiliate Network through a variety of means, including professional development workshops, trainings at Portuguese-American conferences and regional affiliate meetings, and program-specific workshops (such as grants development and management) held throughout the year.
